Rescuers search for victims in the debris of a hospital after the earthquake in Dujiangyan, 12 May 2008  China and Burma both destroyed by nature in the last week are reluctant for outsiders to help their people. While China is ready to accept “financial and material” international help, the Burmese Government finally agreed for a US military plane to land today. (more…)

 

Murderous confrontations in Ghana May 9, 2008

11 people have been killed in North Ghana during the confrontation of ethnic groups in Bawku since May 5.
